This is what I was originally was going to do as number one. I also meant to do JK Rowling. And a million other things. But the fist page of DH. I remember so clearly getting home a few hours after midnight and calmly brushing my teeth, with the crisp and unopened book on my bed. Wow, I just got some crazy flashbacks of all of the times I held an unread Harry Potter book in my hands. Wow. Quite a powerful sensation. But so the book was on my bed and I got into bed. Slowly picked up the book and felt its weight in my hands, smelled it, smoothed the cover with my hand. Then I turned the first few virgin pages and as I read the seven part dedication page my heart began to swell, and when I got to the last one,
"And to you,
if you have
stuck
with Harry
until the
very
end."
I sobbed with the raw emotion of an exposed and full heart.
"After all this time?"
"Always."
